“I'm passionate about reproductive justice because it looks at the bigger picture. There are so many issues beyond just the legal right to an abortion -- racial inequality, income disparity, environmental injustice -- that can unfairly impact or restrict an individual's reproductive choices.”

Cari Tan
“Cari Tan (she/her) believes that everyone should have the resources, support, and access to make the choices that are best for them. This includes ensuring that we are all able to be our whole selves, seeking a life filled with pleasure and community, being able to control our economic futures, and having full say over our choices concerning our bodies. She has a background in labor organizing, volunteer management, and education. She currently works in digital accessibility. She is looking forward to bringing her experience to serve and move forward the goals of reproductive justice.”

Lauren Buchanan
“I believe in Reproductive Justice because we all deserve to decide when and if to parent, and to parent the children we have in thriving societies. There is no true choice in Pro-Choice without a world that makes it safe to both parent and not to parent. I’m invested in doing this work with Our Justice because we all deserve reproductive justice!”

LyLy Vang-Yang
“The values my parents and community rooted in me— honoring and trusting my agency, recognizing the abundance within community, and a responsibility to care for others—are made real in the framework of reproductive justice. A world where people can have an abortion with no restrictions, where their decisions are trusted, valued, and respected, is a more liberated and just world. I believe that being a part of Our Justice allows me act on my values and vision in a powerful and collective way.”

Cody Flaherty
“I’m excited to grow Our Justice and learn more from the folks who have been at the forefront of reproductive justice work in the Midwest.” (They/Them + She/Her) graduated at the top of her class from St. Catherine University, earning a B.A. in English and Philosophy.
